Description

Shortsword with the typical Nordic lobe-shaped pommel and narrow crossguard. Blade was made through a process taught to me by a fellow bladesmith. Packing steel scrap, grindings/shavings and iron sand tightly into a small steel can, bringing it to welding heat and forging it out. Pommel and guard are wrought iron with brass spacers and oak hilt.

That's a cool process, seems like it would be hard to regulate the amount of carbon though.
